New Samsung Monitors Are Sleek, Stunning

Combining stunning displays with sexy new designs, Samsung's newest monitors are sure to turn heads.

Samsung has made elegant design a strong focus in its recent new products, from the slim Samsung Series 7 to the , but the sleek looks haven't stopped there. Continuing the Series 9 and Series 7 name and aesthetic, Samsung has announced three new displays, a 27-inch monitor, and two new HDTVs that double as large screen monitors for your PC.

The Series 9 S27B970 is Samsung's new 27-inch premium monitor, putting Samsung's professional-grade Plane Line Switching and Natural Color Expert technology into a large-screen package with striking good looks. The 27-inch screen offers a stunning 2560-by-1440 resolution, edge-to-edge anti-glare glass, and a height adjustable aluminum stand. Contained within the base of the stand are connections for DisplayPort, Dual Link-DVI, and HDMI video, as well as a USB hub and two built-in 7W stereo speakers. The Series 9 S27B970 also offers a Mobile High Definition Link (MHL) for seamless use with MHL-enabled smartphones. The new Series 9 S27B970 monitor begins at $1,199.99 and will be available this coming March through Samsung and its retail partners.

Even more head turning are the new Series 7 HDTV monitors (the T24B750 and T27B750), which feature a unique asymmetrical design and do double duty as computer monitor and HDTV. Available in two sizes, 24- and 27-inches, the Series 7 HDTV monitors offer 1920-by-1080 resolution, and 1000:1 contrast ratio, with connections for HDMI, Audio-out and TV-tuner as well as USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports, LAN, WiFi and integrated WiDi 2.0 connectivity (no adapter needed). There's also a unique Picture-In-Picture mode that lets you watch TV without interrupting your work on the PC. The monitors are equipped with Samsung's SmartHub functionality, with apps for enjoying Hulu Plus, Netflix, and more, while a Mobile High Definition Link (MHL) lets you enjoy your phone's content on the larger screen.

The asymmetrical stand is fully adjustable, tilting to provide the ideal viewing angle, and Samsung's MagicAngle technology further optimizes the the image based on the viewer's position. The 27-inch Series 7 HDTV monitor (T27B750) will be available in March for a starting price of $599.
